Project scope
About the project
Barad Partner is an app for the home-based food businesses that partner with the Barad platform. While the main app lets customers discover and order meals, the partner app helps sellers manage orders, maintain their menus, and organize daily work, from receiving an order to preparing it.

The challenge
The problem to solve
Running a food business from home means dividing time between preparing meals, tracking orders, and updating the menu. The challenge was to design an experience that makes these tasks clear and quick, helping partners see what needs their attention without navigating through many screens.

A partner’s needs differ from those of a customer ordering food. Customers look for a meal and place an order, while partners need to track several orders, understand each one, identify its current stage, and know what to do next. When orders arrive at the same time, the way information is presented becomes central to the experience. Important details, such as items, quantities, and customer notes, need to stand out, with a distinct status for each order so partners do not have to open every order to see what needs attention. Menu management and incoming orders are also closely connected: changes to a meal’s availability or details should be easy to make. The design therefore needed to connect these tasks within a consistent experience that remains simple for people with different levels of technical confidence.

The solution
My approach
A unified experience brings together order and menu management, putting the most frequently used daily actions within easy reach. The design relies on clear information hierarchy, understandable order statuses, and short paths that help partners complete tasks without unnecessary complexity.

The concept makes the orders screen the starting point for daily work. Partners can identify orders that need action and open their details without losing context. Within each order, information is arranged to help them understand what is needed before making a decision.

What did the experience need?
The experience needed to prioritize information around day-to-day work: Which orders are new? Which are being prepared? Which menu items are available? The focus was on clear statuses, direct actions, and understandable language that reduces hesitation.

Partners may use the app while busy preparing food. The experience therefore aims to reduce steps, make order details easy to scan, and distinguish frequent daily actions from less common changes.

How I worked
The concept began by identifying partners’ core tasks and mapping order and menu management flows. Screens and information were then organized around those flows. The next stage is interface design and linking the screens into an interactive prototype to review navigation and the sequence of actions.
